Haji hated the Dutch Army but sure loved the Dutch Salvation Army. So much so he painted and donated the painting in honor of the work of the sisters of the missions.
On arrival the paintng went to the prestigious estate (mission HQ) near Wassenaar. In fact it was so prestigious they had to close it down so they moved it to the Salvation Army’s HQ in Amsterdam which was too small. From there it was moved to the Congreszaal Rottedam Congreszaal which was too cold and about to close as well.
In the end it winded up in the family, because they brought it to Holland to begin with, where it stayed for over 25 years until it was passed to the next in the heir line where it stayed for over another 20 years.
No need to say the painting has been well taken care of and has been very well preserved. Almost nobody alive has seen it, nor are there any pictures to be found on the internet. Also the Haji Widayat Museum knows the existence nor does it appear in any of his notebooks.
If for some reason price is not met the painting wi[[ be returned to the Haji family who own the Haji Widayat Museum
